Foreverness

In the digital world, art collective KrystalKrystal is not recognized by the 8-second attention span generation. Kyran (26), Natali (23), Christoffer (21), Marynia (23) and Elias (25) feel rejected with their unresponsive contemporary pop culture videos, which they distribute through their online channel. They decide to rebel with a controversial reinvention that lacks any ‘real’ message or point. Fusing bits of their alter ego’s, personal cravings and several morally controversial elements, the video becomes an expressive, digitally altered mash-up of sound, image and performance art. To their amazement, KrystalKrystal becomes a trending topic.

In order to please the crowd, the footage they are shooting becomes more disturbing and more realistic. Gradually their hedonistic and extravagant online personas delve deeper into their personalities, altering their perception of reality, resulting in the slow but inevitable merge of their online presence and themselves.
